Andrey A. Okunev, 18, of Long Beach, CA, died suddenly on September 5th 2025 in U.S. Army Fort Leonard Wood, MO.

Andrey A. Okunev was born in Nizhy Novgorod, Russia to Andrey Okunev and Snezhana Fedotova on March 4th 2007. He went to Lowell Elementary school, Rogers Middle school and Sato Academy of Math and Science and graduated in 2025. He enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard when he was in 12th grade and left for Fort Leonard Wood, MO to attend Basic Combat Training as a Pv2. He enjoyed being outdoors, listening to music, playing computer games, taking care of animals. He received several Referee of the Year awards and was involved in AYSO.

Andrey A.Okunev is survived by his father Andrey Okunev, mother Snezhana Fedotova, sister Vera, sister Varvara and a brother Timur of Long Beach.

A public funeral service will be held on September 16, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.at Heritage-Dilday Funeral Home at 17911 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA
