Andrin Evans Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cook Brothers Funeral Directors and Cremations - Fairburn on Apr. 8, 2025.
Andrin Bernard Evans, affectionately known as "Andre" or "Dre," passed away at the age of 62 on April 4, 2025, in Newnan, Georgia. A proud "Grady Baby," Andre was born in Atlanta on March 15, 1963, to the late Llewellyn and Mamie C. Evans.
Andre was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marshall Sr. and Ethel Evans, Joe and Annie Lee Black, and Earnest Cartwright; his aunt, Loretta Evans; and his uncle, Marshall Evans Jr.
Andre's vibrant spirit and deep roots in Atlanta were evident in every part of his life. He proudly graduated from Southwest High School as a member of its final graduating class in 1981. Throughout his life, Dre wore many hats-he was a talented concrete finisher, a master mixologist, and a dedicated worker in warehouse roles at Shaw of Newnan and Clorox of Fairburn. Whether it was fixing, building, or cooking, Dre could do it all with skill and pride.
Above all, Dre's life was centered around love for his family. He is survived by his beloved son, DreVaz Davis; his devoted sisters, Derriagh-RANN (Joe) Lowe and Melissa (Everette) Williams; aunt Celcelia Evans; uncle James Evans; nieces Jawarn (Maurice) Britt, Temeca Williams, Evette Williams, and Erika Williams; nephew Jerius Lowe; great-nephews Kevin Pitts, Kamari (Camiyah) Ray, and Justin Jackson; great-niece Talin (Derrick Sr.) Emory; great-great-nephews Kamari Ray and Derrick Emory Jr.; great-great-nieces Charli and Callie Ray; as well as a host of loving cousins-Hilda, Gail, Denise, Loretta, Veronica, Elaine, Marsha, Jarvis ("Slugger"), Wanda, Charlee, Starlis, and Teresa-and many dear friends.
Known for his culinary skills, Dre's legendary "home fries" became a symbol of his love and hospitality, cherished by everyone who had the pleasure of tasting them. He found joy in every gathering, creating memories that now bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
As we honor Andre's life, we take solace in knowing he is reunited with his loving parents. His spirit, warmth, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Rest peacefully, Andre. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Andrin, please visit our floral store.
