Andy Lucero, 62, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Aurora CO.
Andy was born on November 18, 1963 in Cheyenne WY. He lived a life rooted in love for his family and dedication to those closest to him. Known for his strength, warmth, and steady presence, Andy touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He loved working as a building engineer in downtown Denver for Newmark. Teaching the young guys all his tips and tricks. He also loved the many other companies he worked for being a building engineer. He worked his way up from a custodian and engineer and he was very proud of that.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Helidoro “Ben” Lucero; mother, Eldora Herrera; brother, Joseph Lucero; and his grandparents, Eufracia Gonzales Lucero, Fernando Evans Lucer, and Josephine Trujillo and Telesfor Garcia.
Andy is survived by his loving wife, Mary of 38 years; son, Leonard; daughter, Samantha. He also leaves behind his ten siblings, Rachel Spigner (Eddie), Tony Lucero (Amy), Tommy Lucero, Mikey Lucero (Anna), Cindy Martinez Joe Herrera, Jr. Julia Pacheco (John), Christopher Herrera, Roberta Black (James), and Hope Herrera-Bradley;Father in law, Donald Garcia, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.
Andy’s legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and the many lives he impacted with his kindness and unwavering devotion. He will be remembered always and missed beyond measure.
Andy's services will be held in Cheyenne, WY on Wednesday the 11th and Thursday the 12th 2026.
The Vigil for the Deceased will be Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, Wednesday, March 11th, at 4:30 PM (1900 E 19th St Cheyenne WY).
The Funeral will be at St. Mary's Cathedral on March 12, at 10:00 AM (100 w 21st ST Cheyenne WY), with a reception to follow at Hartman Hall.
