Andrew Malcolm (Andy) McFall III went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 15, 2023.
Andy was a seventh generation Andersonian, born on May 14, 1934, the son of the late Andrew Malcolm McFall, Jr. and Marie Fleming McFall. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Emilie Dye McFall, and his 3 sons, Russell McFall (Fran) of Columbia, Steven McFall (Ruth) of Vienna, Austria and Roger McFall (Kim) of Greenville; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Andy was a graduate of Boys High in 1952 and attended Auburn University. He furthered his education in the Savings and Loan Industry at the University of Georgia and the University of Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958, stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He worked 9 years for a National Manufacturing Company and was with Anderson Savings and Loan from 1965 to 1995 until retiring as a Consultant. He was a founding director of the Bank of Anderson and worked with the Peoples Bank Corporation where he served on various committees.
He was dedicated to serving the Anderson community. Andy was an active member of the Anderson Chamber of Commerce, Sertoma International, Rotary Club, and many other organizations.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Anderson from his youth until 1960 when he and his family joined Boulevard Baptist Church. Andy served as a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School department director, and served on many committees of the church. He was a deacon and served as Deacon Chairman seven times. He and his wife joined Pope Drive Baptist Church in 2001 where he served as deacon, trustee, and served on several committees.
A service will be held at 3:00 o'clock, Friday, February 17, at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:45. The burial will follow the service at Old Silver Brook Cemetery, 1405 White Street.
Andy loved fiercely. In addition to loving the Lord, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He never met a stranger and lived to serve others.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
