Steve Rice Obituary
Born January 19, 1947, in Calhoun Falls, SC, he was the son of the late William Norman Rice and Mary Ruth Wiles Rice. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmy Ray Rice, Jean Gray and Frances Billings.
Steve worked as a truck driver for Clark Schwebel for over 40 years before retiring and was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha "Jeanette" Todd Rice; sons, Seath Norman Rice (Missy) and Sterling James Rice (Lauren) both of Iva; and grandchildren, Chance Rice of Anderson, Cady Rice of Anderson, Ashley Arnold (Hayden) of Iva, and Cory Rice (Tori) of Iva.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 1:00-2:15 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Jerry Gray and Rev. Tom Cribb officiating. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
