Anetta Hensley

Anetta Marie (Russell) Hensley was born April 14 th, 1937 to Ray and Marie Russell in the
Purdy School House near Lindsay. She passed from this life on December 16 th, 2024 at her
home in Wynnewood, OK.
Anetta graduated from Wynnewood Schools in 1955 and then went on to obtain her
Associate Degree from Murray State College, a Bachelor's Degree from East Central, and a
Master's in Library Science from The University of Oklahoma. She was a lifelong educator and
taught school at Hennepin, Fox, and the Pauls Valley State School.
She was a faithful member of the Wynnewood Church of Christ where she enjoyed
teaching Sunday School and organizing funeral dinners.
She is survived by her husband Bart Hensley of the home, her daughter Belinda Hunt of
Pauls Valley, granddaughter Amanda Hammonds, husband Jeremy, and great-granddaughter
Avary. Her brothers Bill Russell and wife Barabra of Lindsay; Bob Russell and wife Debbie of
Pauls Valley; Her nieces and nephews Gina Hayes and husband Curt ; Brandy Mandek and
husband Cody; Benjy Russell, Carrie Rains and husband Joey, Angela Russell-Whipple, Bryan
Russell and wife Aubrie and numerous great nieces and nephews as well as sister in law Linda
Hensley of Wynnewood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Marie Russell, brother, Benny
Russell, and nephew, Brandon Lee Russell. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tipton

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17th from 5-7PM at the DeArman Funeral Home in Wynnewood with services held on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 at 10AM at the Wynnewood Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery of Wynnewood.
