Beth Louise Kowalski, 76 of
Sulphur, Oklahoma, formerly of
Elk City, Oklahoma was born on March 21, 1949, in Hayes, Kansas to Roy A. and Winifred Viola (Perrill) Hoisington. Beth looked upon the face of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Brookdale Senior Living, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered on love, family, and togetherness.
Beth attended Southeast High School, Wichita, Kansas and graduated with the class of 1967. She continued her education at Kansas State University graduating with Cum Laude, obtaining her Bachelors Administration Degree in Humanities. Beth belonged to Alpha Xi Delta sorority, serving as song leader and president.
On February 6 ,1981, Beth married the love of her life, Tim Kowalski. Their marriage was a true partnership filled with love and devotion. Together, they shared many beautiful years, building a life rich with memories, laughter, and family. Tim preceded her in death on February 21, 2022.
Beth faithfully served six years as church secretary at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ,
Elk City, Oklahoma, where she retired. She was also a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship and Guild, and Treasure for Elk City Nursing Home Auxiliary, and helped at Compassionate Friends, a grief support group for people who had lost their children.
Beth loved raising her cats, reading, writing letters, singing and playing the guitar as well as the piano. She found great joy in spending time with her family.
Above all else, Beth loved her family. She delighted in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow and cherished every moment spent together, whether at gatherings, or in simple everyday moments.
Beth's legacy is one of unwavering love, dedication to family, and a life well lived. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her. The memories Beth created will continue to provide comfort and joy to those she leaves behind.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel,
Elk City, Oklahoma. Pastor James Dean will officiate. An additional Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2026, at First Christian Church, 403 West Muskogee Avenue,
Sulphur, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home and Cremation Services in
Elk City, Oklahoma.
Beth is lovingly survived by her three stepsons, Dann Kowalski and wife, Rosie of Rowlett, Texas, David Kowalski and wife, Monica of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Troy Kowalski of Eutaw, Alabama; one stepdaughter, Debra Ivey and partner, Kevin Hilgart of
Sulphur, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, Krystina Salaika and husband, TJ of Angleton, Texas, Kyle Scott and wife, Ashley of Floresville, Texas, David Strickland and wife, Danielle of Pearl River, Louisiana, Athena Strickland of Slidell, Louisiana, Chase Kowalski of Allen, Texas, Dalton Kowalski and wife, Chole of Jacksonville, Florida, Amanda Goodman and husband, Garrett of Commerce, Texas, Brittany Kowalski and husband, Jacob of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kiana Kowalski of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Natalie Kowalski of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Julian Kowalski of Colorado Springs, Colorado; seventeen great grandchildren, Margaret Salaika, Penelope Salaika, Alex Scott, Ryan Scott, Jaxon Scott, Amelia Scott, Natalie Strickland, Cameron Strickland, Oliver Strickland, Cathryn Kowalski, Jax Kowalski, Zane Kowalski, Ian Kowalski, Evie Kowalski, River Goodman, Guinevere Goodman, and Aurelia Kowalski; numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tim Kowalski, one daughter, Joy Kowalski; her parents, Roy A. and Winifred Viola Hoisington; one sister, Barbara Albertson; and her stepmother, Mildred.
