Angel Marquez Obituary

Angel D. Marquez, 63, of Menifee, California, passed away peacefully in his home on November 2, 2025. Born on December 23, 1961, in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Angel lived a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.

After serving honorably in the United States Marine Corps, Angel dedicated more than 30 years to the Monterey Park and Lake Elsinore Water Districts, where he was respected for his integrity, reliability, and quiet dedication to every task he undertook.

Angel's life was anchored in his Catholic faith, through which he found peace, purpose, and strength in God's presence each day. He lived his faith with humility and quiet strength, striving daily to walk in the footsteps of Christ. He expressed his beliefs through compassion, discipline, and a steadfast heart devoted to God and family. His life was a reflection of simple faithfulness and trust in the Lord's guidance.

Angel shared 43 years of marriage with his wife, Edwina. Together they raised two children, Jose Angel and Barbae Dwaine, and were blessed with five grandchildren who brought him his greatest joy. His oldest grandchildren, Zoe and Zander, fondly remember fishing trips with their grandpa and long summer days spent riding bikes and swimming, days filled with laughter and adventure that will forever stay in their hearts. He shared a special bond with his grandson, Julian James, his little shadow and partner in crime. His granddaughter Alita Dean, his sparkling little muchacha, filled his heart with light and laughter, and his youngest grandson, Caelan Angel, carries his name as a lasting tribute to the strength and love that defined his grandfather's life.

A true cowboy at heart, Angel found peace outdoors under the California sun, surrounded by the trees and open space of the two-acre family home he lovingly cared for. He took pride in working with his hands and found happiness in the simple rhythm of tending to his home and land.

Angel is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren; his mother, Guadalupe; his sister, Lupe; and his brothers, Narciso, Marcos, and Danny. He will be remembered for his steady strength, quiet faith, and enduring love for his family.
