Angela Barboza Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sanders Funeral Home - Lubbock on Feb. 27, 2026.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Angela Barboza, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on February 19, 2026, at the age of 82. Angela was born on April 12, 1943, in Burlington, Texas, and later made her home in Lubbock, Texas after many years of migrant work where she became a cherished part of the community.

Angela's life was a testament to love, kindness, and dedication. A gifted cook, she worked as a cook at Texas Tech University for 25 years, where her culinary talents nourished not only the body but the spirit of everyone who had the pleasure of enjoying her meals. Her love for cooking was only matched by her passion for family. She cherished quality time spent with her loved ones. In her free time she enjoyed thrifting and being a devoted Jehovah's Witness in sharing the word of Jehovah God any moment she could.

Angela was known for her humble and virtuous character, devoting her life to service and extending Jehovah God's grace and love to all those who crossed her path. Her unwavering faith and commitment to living a virtuous life were the cornerstones of her existence. She cherished spending time outdoors, tending to her garden, and nurturing her flowers, which brought her great joy and satisfaction.

Angela is survived by her beloved daughters Lucy Madison and Diane Ramos, devoted sons Carlos Marrufo and Tim Ramos-and her treasured grandchildren Allison Thomas, Jessica Cornish, Alexandra Lewis, Joshua Lewis, Amber Toroitich, Zackary Robinson, Angelina Ramos, Ava Ramos, Natalie Marrufo, Caylee Marrufo, Chloe Marrufo, & Ashlee Madison, and 16 great-grandchildren

Angela was preceded in death by her father, Dionisio Barboza and her mother, Dolores Barboza, her brother Jesse Barboza, and beloved daughter Adelina Ramos-Boisse.

Though she may no longer walk among us, Angela Barboza's loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, humility, and grace will continue to inspire those who were blessed to share in her life.
