Iva was born on August 28, 1939, in Wellington, Texas, to John and Willie Ila Scott. She dedicated 29 years of her life to serving others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Lubbock. She deeply loved her profession, taking pride in helping nurse people back to health while faithfully providing for her family.
Iva is survived by her children: Kenneth Cover of Rogers, Arkansas; Jeanna Hamilton of Loveland, Colorado; and Paul William Cover of Spring, Texas. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her brother George Scott, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She will be remembered for her intelligence, her sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor, and the fierce love and protection she gave to those closest to her.
A service to celebrate Iva's life will be held 10am Tuesday March 24 at Sanders Funeral Home, 1420 Main Street Lubbock, with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, 15602 TX-493 Loop, Lubbock, Texas 79423.
