Angela DeAngellis Obituary

Angela DeAngellis (Angel of Angels), 63, of Mahopac, N.Y., passed away, surrounded by her loved ones, Monday, July 4, 2022. Born on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 1958, in Pittsburgh, Angela was the daughter of the late Nillie and Elizabeth Petrini DeAngellis. She is survived by her devoted siblings, Betty DeAngellis, of Greensburg, Charlotte DeSalvo (Joe), of Mahopac, N.Y., and Joseph DeAngellis (Maria), of Harrison City; as well as her beloved nephew, Neil Barni (Meghan), whom she loved as a brother. Angela was "Aunt Angie" to countless nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews for whom her love, dedication, generosity and pride were unbounded. She was a dedicated cousin and niece to her extended family from Palm Beach County, Fla., and Pittsburgh. Angela was predeceased by her sister, Antonette Barni, in 2017; and her brother, Charles "Chuck" DeAngellis, in 2013. Angela graduated from the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in 1989. She launched her career working together with her brother, Joe, in a hair salon in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. She continued her education in aesthetics, earning several certifications in advanced skin care, including a license in paramedical aesthetics. In 1995, she founded Angelface Day Spa, in Yorktown Heights. Over the next 27 years, she delivered world-class services and an award-winning spa experience that translated her dream into a highly successful business enterprise. Angela's signature facials were the cornerstone of that success. Angela's radiant smile, warm personality, one-of-a-kind generosity and singular focus on each of us, whenever we were in her company, were beyond compare. For her family, friends, staff, clients and all who knew her, Angela leaves an indelible impression. The family extends its sincerest gratitude for the overwhelming generosity of the army of loved ones that aided Angela through a tremendously difficult final year of cancer treatment. Her unwavering positivity and faith were fueled by the love she had surrounding her. The family received friends Friday, July 8, at JOSEPH J. SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Mahopac, N.Y., and will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek. A memorial celebration will follow at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at Asti's Italian Steakhouse at the Grand View Golf Club in North Braddock. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, at Monongahela Cemetery in North Braddock.
