Angela Marie Debelak, 50, of
Wake Forest, North Carolina passed away on September 30, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota on July 18, 1975 to Roger Donald Freeman and Linda Marie (Peterson) Freeman. Angela was the youngest child in her family. She graduated from Hibbing High School and Hibbing Community College at age 16, graduating summa cum laude from the U of Minnesota at 18. Angela and Frank were married on February 10, 1996 in Hibbing, Minnesota.
Over their marriage, Angela and Frank lived in Ely, Hopkins, Burnsville, and Hibbing, Minnesota where their two children were born. Angela always cherished the role of motherhood, serving as LaLeche League mentor and nursing coach for many new mothers. The growing family then moved to
Wake Forest, North Carolina. Angela especially valued quality homeschooling, so she and Frank joined the Lighthouse Homeschooling Group, and both taught their children throughout childhood and youth. The family took RCIA classes and joined the Saint Catherine of Siena parish in Wake Forest at Easter 2019.
In North Carolina Angela worked for PPM as an accountant and consultant, implementing new software systems. However she considered the most significant roles in her life were wife, mother, and teacher of their two children. Daughter Miriam is now a nationally licensed Paramedic for Wake County EMS. Their son Frank IV attends Western Carolina University for nursing.
Angela's life was filled with love, compassion, and service to her family and community. Angela has been a practicing Christian throughout her life, and, until her illness with brain cancer 6 years ago, was actively involved in worship services, worked to clothe the poor, relieve suffering and end abortion. Angela loves the Lord, her Catholic faith, her husband Frank, her two children, her parents, her extended family, her country, and people of all cultures. She loved to care for people with creativity. Angela enjoyed music, having learned violin, flute, guitar and piano; she loved flowers, herbs, mountains, beaches, and nature in all its forms. Angela's essence was pure love. Angela will be remembered for her tremendous compassion, her beautiful smile and encouraging words for others who suffered, her brilliant mind, unending energy for Adoration, her devotion and her love for the Lord and her family.
Angela's last and ongoing wish is for all to embrace these encouraging words: "So, we do not lose heart, for this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison... Arise, shine, for your light has come, the glory of the Lord is risen upon you." (II Corinthians 4:16-17 & Isaiah 60:1)
Angela is survived by her husband Frank John Debelak III, her daughter Miriam Debelak, son Frank John Debelak IV. Her brother Christopher Freeman, his spouse Lorinda, nephews Ben, Theo, Toby, and niece Audrianne, her husband's mother Mary, and her parents survive her, as well as extended family and many friends made throughout the years.
The family wishes to thank all who shared their love and support to Angela and her family through these years.
