Angela M. McElroy

Angela McElroy, age 95 years, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, October 12, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born on April 4, 1921 in Jackson, Michigan the daughter of the late Arthur and Marjorie (Blakley) Tobin. Angela was united in marriage to David McElroy and after 69 years together he preceded her in death on May 9, 2010. Angela was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church. She was an avid card player and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Surviving family include her daughters, Margaret Ann "Meg" and husband Richard Bogert and Mary and husband Robert Mullvain; grandchildren, David and wife Beth Bogert, Mark and wife Stacey Bogert, Michael and wife Erinn Lien, Molly Mullvain and Jack Mullvain; great-grandchildren, Jacob (Lauren), Devyn, Luke, Nathan, Kolton and Jameson. Angela was preceded in death by her sister, Raymonda Ion. Funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Penzein-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St. in Vassar. Sr. Ellen C. Rinke, IHM officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the liturgy. Private burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
