Angela Marie Phillips

Angela Marie Phillips, age 55, of Sturgis, Michigan, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Sherman Township, Michigan, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born September 24, 1970, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of William and Carolyn (Downey) DeBord. On August 25, 2020, she married James R. Phillips in Centreville, Michigan.
Angie was currently employed by GT Independence in Sturgis, where she had been a dedicated and valued employee for many years. She was a faithful and active member of Firm Foundation Ministries in Centreville. Angela enjoyed scrapbooking, watching Hallmark movies, and most of all treasured time spent with her family and with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, James Phillips; her daughter, Alyssa Marie (Adam) Haverkamp of Sturgis; her son, Aaron Quiroz of Hawaii; her grandchildren, Trenton, Arian, Aryah, Andre, Carmen, and Malikia; her parents, William and Carolyn DeBord of Florida; her brothers, Stephen (Cindy) DeBord and William DeBord, Jr., both of Florida; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Darian Kent Quiroz, and her grandson, Abe Haverkamp.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Firm Foundation Ministries in Centreville, where funeral services celebrating Angela's life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 23, 2026. The Rev. Don Smith will officiate. A graveside committal service will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis has been entrusted with the arrangements.
