Angela Pileggi

Angela "Lela" Pileggi, age 87, of Horsham, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on December 4, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Pileggi. She was born in Maida, Province Catanzaro, Italy on September 2, 1938 to the late Carmelo and Maria (Scalfaro) Reale. She married her husband Frank in Italy in 1958, then came to America where they could start their new life together. Lela was a loving and devoted homemaker, wife, mother, Nonna, and Bisnonna. She was all about family and enjoyed making them happy. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family gatherings and having family around her. She was well respected and had many friends. Lela was humble and never forgot where she came from. She was a devout Catholic and long-time member of St. Catherine of Siena Church.
Lela is survived by her 4 children Frank Pileggi, Jr. (Sandra) of Feasterville, Maria Pileggi (George) of Oreland, Carlo Pileggi (Angela) of Maple Glen, Carmelo Pileggi (Lisa) of Chalfont, her four grandchildren Stephen Pileggi, Frank Pileggi (Rhiannon), Michael Pileggi, (Danielle Mallozzi), Daniella Pileggi, two great-grandchildren Luciano and Lennon, her siblings Rosa, AnnaMaria, Francesca, Tommasina, Donatella and Alberto. She is pre-deceased by her siblings Gaetano, Gregorio and Francesco.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Rd., Horsham, PA 19044. The Viewing will be Tuesday, December 9 from 6:00-8:00 pm. and on Wednesday, December 10 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA. Entombment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela's memory can be sent to St. Catherine of Siena Church at the above address.
