ANNA "ANN" PILEGGI

PILEGGI ANNA "ANN" (nee COIA) Age, 94, of Ambler, died on February 14, 2026, at Doylestown Hospital after a short illness. Ann was born in Hammonton, NJ. She was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late John Pileggi, of Chalfont, PA. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by an infant son. She was the daughter of the late Frederico Coia and Carmela Valerio Coia of Bellmawr, NJ. Her daughter Patti Herbert and her husband Dennis, her son John Pileggi, Jr. and his wife Stacy survive her. Ann was the doting grandmother of Sean Herbert, Lauren Friga and her husband Dan, Ryan Herbert and John Pileggi, III and his wife Shurden. She is also survived by her great grandson Daniel Friga, and her great granddaughter Florence Pileggi. Ann attended grade school at Transfiguration of Our Lord Parish in Havertown and graduated in 1949 from West Catholic Girls High. In her teen years she was a candy striper at Misericordia Hospital. Before marrying John, she worked as an executive secretary at The Insurance Company of North America in Philadelphia and was involved in many clubs including The Navy Mother's Club. Upon her marriage, she moved to Willow Grove, PA and devoted herself to raising her two children and supporting her husband in his contracting business. They moved to Dresher in the early 1960's before later moving to Chalfont, Bucks County. In her later years, Ann resided at Gwynedd Estates Independent Living in Ambler. Ann and her husband loved traveling to Florida and Europe and enjoyed many summer vacations with their children and grandchildren in Stone Harbor and Brigantine. She was a grateful 27-year survivor of a kidney transplant and advocated for organ donation. Ann had a great sense of humor and a wonderful sense of style. She enjoyed being involved with her children and grandchildren and attending their events. She also loved going out to family dinners at her favorite restaurants. She will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted family. Ann's family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave., Chalfont, from 10 A.M. until her Funeral Mass 11:30 A.M.
