Angela R. (Bernd) Piper, 53, of Derry, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Born June 23, 1972, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Patricia (Sneary) Bernd and the late Russell James Bernd Jr. Angela was employed as a property manager for Crossgate Management. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, trips to the casinos, tending to her garden, and music. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Adam Bernd. In addition to her mother, Angela is survived by her husband, Bryan K. Piper, of Derry; one daughter, Jennifer L. Bernd (Mitchell Cochran), of Greensburg; one stepdaughter, Brittany Piper, of Brenizer; one brother, Russell Bernd III (Jamie), of Greensburg; one sister, Rebecca Hugus (John), of S. Greensburg; one granddaughter, Eloise; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Kit-Kat. Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME LLC, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, in the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Campbell officiating. Interment is private.
