Angela Renea (Tomaszek) Randolph, age 60, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026, at home, surrounded by family.
A Celebration of Life will be held 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Iles Grandview Park Chapel,
Des Moines, Iowa.
Angela was born on January 11, 1965, in
Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Allen and Margaret (Parry) Tomaszek. She moved to
Des Moines, Iowa as a young child, where she was raised and spent her life. She graduated from East High School, Class of 1983. From an early age, she understood the value of hard work and responsibility-qualities she carried with her throughout her life.
Angela chose to dedicate herself fully to her family. She was married to Scott Randolph for 37 years and deeply cherished the life and time they shared together. He was her best friend, and she honored him in the way she lived each day. She was a devoted stay-at-home wife and mother, later becoming a deeply involved and loving grandmother.
She devoted herself to caring for her grandchildren, playing an active and meaningful role in their everyday lives, creating a sense of home, comfort, and security. She was also a devoted caregiver to her husband during his illness, standing by his side with loyalty, patience, and quiet strength-giving of herself completely, just as she always had.
Angela had a wonderful sense of style and took pride in the details of life. She was meticulous in everything she did, carefully preserving artwork, cards, and cherished keepsakes-small pieces of life that told the story of what she valued most. She loved to bake and found her greatest joy in time spent with her grandchildren, especially in the simple, everyday moments. She enjoyed tending to her garden and caring for her indoor plants, finding peace in nurturing the things she grew. She also enjoyed having family over and hosting get-togethers with those she loved most.
She gave so fully of herself that her own interests were rarely the focus. Those who truly knew her were lucky to see her softer, lighter side. Her laugh brought joy to those around her, and beneath her seriousness was a soft, playful side known best by those who loved her.
Above all else, Angela lived a life shaped by love, sacrifice, and service. She gave endlessly to those she loved, asking little in return. Her legacy is found not in public recognition, but in the lives she shaped, the sacrifices she made, and the love she poured into her family every single day.
She is survived by her two children, Landon (Helen) Randolph and Chelsey (Mark) McCaughey; one granddaughter, Lillian; three grandsons, Colton, Chase, and Caden; her mother, Margaret Tomaszek; her sister, Alana (Lonnie) Hamby; and her brother, Allen (Mary) Tomaszek II.
She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Scott Randolph; her father, Allen Tomaszek; and her brother, Aaron Tomaszek.
She was the heart of our family, and her love will continue to guide us in all the days ahead.
