Angela Rene Smith

Angela Rene Smith, 52, of Jamestown, KY passed away Friday, November 7, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on October 26, 1973, in Columbia, KY to Kenneth and Marlene Hay Cowan.
Angela professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Freedom Separate Baptist Church. She worked at Westlake Primary Care, Kroger, and Monticello Banking for 20 years. She considered her workplace and co-workers as family and loved them deeply. Angela made friends with everyone she met, having a warm and caring spirit and often everyone said she was the sweetest person they had ever known.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years Shawn Smith of Jamestown, KY; her parents Kenneth and Marlene Cowan of Columbia, KY; her Godparents Philip and Leona Akin of Columbia, KY; two aunts Nellie Bell of Glasgow, KY and Brenda McIntyre (Jeff); two uncles Raymond Jackson (Shirlene) and Ronnie Jackson (Kathy) both of Russell Springs, KY; her beloved pets "Jinxie" and "Max" and numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Clem and Ethel Cowan and Clinton and Lula Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday after 10:00am at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Freedom Cemetery.
Bro. Jamie Bryant will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Michael Stearns, Glenn Stearns, Chris Murphy, Bryson Hicks, Benson Bell, and Johnny Bell. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Coffey, Brayden Smith, Braxton Smith, Larin Coffey, and Dennis Bailey.
