Angela Price Thompson

Angela Price Thompson, 56, of Mineral Springs, NC, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2023.
Angela was born on October 21, 1966, to Joseph Paul Price and Mary Anne Howey Price in Monroe, NC. After graduating from Parkwood High School in 1985, she went on to study elementary education at UNC Charlotte before obtaining her bachelor's degree from Ohio University. After graduation, she worked as a teacher until she returned to UNC-Chapel Hill to study cytotechnology. She worked as a cytotechnologist at CMC Union, now known as Atrium Health, in Monroe, NC for several years until she decided to stay at home with her daughters.
In 1994, Angela met Michael Thompson, and the two were inseparable from that moment on. They wed in 1995, going on to have two children, Brooke Ashlyn Crocker and Jessica Lindsey Thompson. Angie was a doting mother; both her girls were the light of her life. Family always came first and was above all else, a value she instilled in those around her. The hole left by Angie's absence will be impossible to fill and we will miss her greatly.
Angela was predeceased by her husband, Michael Nolan Thompson, and her father, Joseph Paul Price. She is survived by her mother, Mary Anne Brooks, her stepfather, Craven Brooks, sister Ashley San Jose, niece Salena San Jose, daughters Jessica Thompson and Brooke Crocker, along with her son-in-law Patrick Crocker, and two granddaughters, Palmer and Nora Crocker.
There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, in the church at Pleasant Grove Campground, 2220 Billy Howey Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Pleasant Grove Campground, mailed to P.O. Box 6, Mineral Springs, NC 28108.
