Angela M. Tucciarone

Angela Marie Tucciarone, 87, of North Providence, passed away peacefully Tuesday July 1st.
She was surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Francis Tucciarone.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Canao) Nassi.
Angela was a parishioner of St. Anthony's since she was a child, where she sang in the choir. Years later she was a daily communicant of St. Phillips Parish in Greenville. She loved her Catholic faith and had deep devotion to the Blessed Mother, Padre Pio and the Divine Mercy of Jesus. She also prayed for priests and supported their ministries.
To her 10 children, and 27 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and counting, she was the warm, funny, and feisty "Sicilian" grandma. Her greatest joy was cooking her famous pasta and meatballs for her family on Sundays, where at least 10 or more were seated at the table She loved baking and is credited with making thousands of egg biscuits and Italian cookies for the holidays.
She enjoyed gardening as well. She picked a daily bouquet from her yard and placed it in front of her statue of the Blessed Mother to honor her. She also enjoyed crocheting blankets. Over the years she had many dogs and cats.
She is survived by eight children. Daniel Tucciarone, Andrea Toupin, Anthony M Tucciarone Sr., Gemma Capracotta, Angela Tucciarone, Joanne Morrissey, John Tucciarone and Michael Tucciarone; and her many grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Joseph Tucciarone and Mary Riel.
Her funeral will be from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence at 9:00 am Tuesday July 8th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Monday, July 7th, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
