Angela (Pirman) Wolfe, a beloved mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother passed peacefully into God’s care on December 10, 2025, at the age of 97. Born in Johnsonburg, PA to her late parents, Joseph & Angela (Rote) Pirman, Angie was a devout servant of God, whose life exemplified faith, family, and service.
Angie was the first in her family to earn a college degree, graduating from St. John’s School of Nursing in Pittsburg in 1950. She fulfilled her life’s calling of serving others as a Registered Nurse (RN) for over forty years and worked in nearly every capacity. Her favorite was the Emergency Room (ER). Most of her career was spent at the Kane Community Hospital and later at the Summit Hospital/Summit Medical Park in the doctor’s offices as the RN for the late surgeon, Dr. Thomas Logio and then the late Dr. Charles Bentz. She completed her career working at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
As dutiful as Angie was as a nurse, she was also a dedicated wife and devoted mother. Angie married the love of her life, Joseph, in 1951 and settled in Kane, PA. They worked hard and raised seven children. She was very proud of her children and they brought her immeasurable joy. Angie and Joe were thankful for 69 years together. After Joseph’s passing, she moved to Melrose, MA and lived with her daughter for her final years.
Angie truly enjoyed art and beauty. She was a creative person and expressed herself through her home, her paintings, and her crafts. She never met a wreath she couldn’t enhance. She savored family gatherings, enjoyed hosting, and appreciated traditions. All were welcome. It is with deep love and gratitude that she will be remembered for her strength, her wit, and her faith.
Angie is predeceased by her devoted husband, Joseph Wolfe; her sister, Ann; her two brothers Joseph and Anthony, & her granddaughter, Sheryl. She was the beloved mother of: Beth Howard (husband, Tom), Bob (wife, Jo Ann), Doug (wife, Kim (deceased)), Ed, Jeff (wife, Lynnette), Allen (wife, Thea), and Amy Strileckis (husband, Greg). She is survived by her adoring grandchildren: Tommy, Kristen (fiancé, Diego), Frances, Jack, Luke, Leah, Theresa (husband, Brian), Renee, Joel, Lauren (wife, Nikki), and Sophie. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Emmy.
