Nola Kay Danley Wolfe, a devoted homemaker and beloved member of the Lake, Mississippi, passed away on February 12, 2026, at the Lackey Convalascent Home in Forest, Mississippi. Born on December 15, 1937, in Magdalena, New Mexico, Nola brought warmth and kindness into the lives of everyone she encountered.
As a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church, she dedicated herself to her faith and positively impacted many through her role as a Sunday School teacher. Nola was known for her engaging teaching style, making use of flannelgraph to share lessons with children at both the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Farmington, New Mexico, and her church in Lake, Mississippi. Her commitment to her community reflected her compassionate nature and willingness to serve others.
Nola had many passions outside of her church role; she loved sewing, crocheting, knitting, and painting, which showcased her creative spirit. Nola was also a proud member of the Mississippi Artist Guild, where her artistic talents flourished. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time with her family. One of her greatest joys in later years was traveling with her family and beloved husband, Harold Wolfe, whom she met in Magdalena, New Mexico.
Nola took pride in her accomplishments, having resided in Lake, Mississippi, for the past 50 years, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Her survivors include her sons, Keith Wolfe (Robbin) and Stephen Wolfe (Teresa); her daughter, Debbie Hughes (Kendall); her daughter, Lynn French (Jason); and her brother-in-law, Carl Wolfe (Toy). She cherished her large family, which includes eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry her spirit forward.
Nola is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Wolfe, as well as her parents, James Fleck and Mary Elizabeth Danley; her brother, Charles Danley; and her granddaughters, Kaylynn Ann French and Deborah Jennifer French.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Lackey Convalascent Home for their exceptional care during her final years. Nola's kind and quiet personality, coupled with her role as a prayer warrior, will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation services are scheduled to be held at the Good Hope Baptist Church, located at 7676 Old Hwy 80, Lake, MS.
