Angelica Maria Vaquera, 40, of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 19, 2025 with interment to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.
Angelica was born February 15, 1985, to Emilio and Maria (Porras) Rocha in Brownwood, Texas. She grew up in Goldthwaite and graduated from Goldthwaite High School. Angelica married the love of her life, Arturo Vaquera on August 4, 2003, and the two of them created a family with three wonderful kids. Angelica devoted her life to being a great mother and wife. It was her calling. She ran her household, kept everything clean and organized. Had to stay after Arturo and the kids to be organized and tried to teach them. Angelica loved to bake and made cookies and cakes for her family all the time. She loved to coach the kids in soccer and was always at their sporting events. Dinner as a family was important to her and Mexican enchiladas or Italian food was her favorite. She lived a simple life of loving her family, helping others no matter who they were or the situation. Her favorite times were cruising on the back roads at night, grilling with the family, gazing at the stars all night, but her favorite was going to the beach. Angelica loved family vacations, going to water parks or the lake, but when they were going to the beach, that was where Angelica thrived.
Angelica is survived by her husband, Arturo Vaquera; daughter, Anahi Vaquera of Brownwood; sons, Arturo Vaquera and Alejandro Vaquera both of Brownwood; sisters, Terry Vaquera, Veronica Rocha both of Goldthwaite; parents, Maria and Emilio Rocha of Goldthwaite; brothers, Lasaro Fuentes of Oklahoma and Graviel Sanchez of Brownwood; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymundo Vaquera and Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez of Mexico; sisters-in-law, Maricela Vaquera, Claudia Vaquera, Sonia Vaquera, Verenice Vaquera, all of Mexico; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews & nieces.
Angelica was preceded in death by her grandparents.
