Angelina "Ann" Campasano, 99, a beacon of faith and love, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 24, 2025, at her residence in Union Beach, New Jersey. Born on March 26, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York, Ann was the cherished daughter of the late Luigi and Giuseppina (Molinari) Galati.

It was in Brooklyn that Ann met her beloved husband, Vincent, and they were married in August of 1946. They started their life and family together in Brooklyn, where they remained for several years before settling in Hazlet, New Jersey in 1962. Their home was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering faith. After many cherished years, the couple retired to Toms River, embracing a new chapter in their lives. In 2012, Ann returned to the Bayshore area, moving to Keyport, and eventually found her final home in Union Beach. Before her retirement, Ann was a dedicated sales associate for Sears in Middletown, New Jersey, for many years where she was known for her warm smile and helpful nature.

A devout Catholic, Ann's life was profoundly influenced by her faith. She found great solace and strength in the teachings of the Cabrini sisters. In 1985, her spiritual journey led her to become a Dominican sister in Long Branch, New Jersey. Embracing her calling further, in 2008, Ann joined the Carmelite Sisters at St. Ambrose Church in Old Bridge, taking the middle name "Theresa" in honor of St. Theresa the Little Flower. Her faith was her compass, guiding her through life's challenges and joys.

Ann was a mother whose heart knew no limits. Her children, grandchildren and family were her pride and joy and the center of everything she did. She spent most of her life giving, nurturing, and lifting others with her kindness and had a remarkable way of making everyone she met feel valued and seen. Her warmth radiated far beyond her home, touching countless lives with her gentle spirit, her generosity and quiet strength. She remembered all of our birthdays and anniversaries.

Ann was devoted to the Blessed Mother, The Sacred Heart, and St. Jude’s, who were her constant companions in prayer. The Rosary and The Divine Mercy Chaplet were her cherished prayers, which she recited with fervent devotion. Her faith-filled life was a testament to her loving and selfless nature, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Her legacy lives on in the memories she created; the lessons she taught and the love she poured into every moment. Her absence leaves a deep ache, but we take comfort in knowing that her love and memories will continue to guide us. We will forever carry her in our hearts forever. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.

Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent J. Campasano. Her legacy continues through her devoted children, Nicholas Campasano and his wife Stephanie of Holmdel, Felicia Palone and her husband Carl of Piedmont, South Carolina, Louis Campasano and his wife Leslie of Claremont, Florida, her predeceased daughter, Joann and her surviving husband, Jim Flynn of Holmdel, Vincent Campasano of Concord, California, and Mary Jude Basmagy and her husband Jeff of Union Beach. Ann was the proud grandmother to 22 cherished grandchildren and the adored great-grandmother to 35 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, who will miss her dearly.

Ann's memory will be treasured as a symbol of unwavering faith and boundless love. Her spirit, characterized by her loving nature, will continue to inspire her family and all who were blessed to know her. Ann's life was a beautiful reflection of her beliefs, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. Her legacy of love and faith will live on, a guiding light for generations to come.
