Angelina Moore Obituary

My sister Angie was content with the simple things in life. She was a generous person who loved to share with others the little that she had, taking pleasure in making others happy.

One of her greatest joys was to sing Karaoke. We had the same taste in music. We had great fun singing together, and when staying with us she could sing for several hours - and it made her so happy. It was the language of her soul.

Being a very social person, she loved being with her friends and participating in many of their group activities such as Bingo, Triominos, etc.

My sister Angie was also an avid reader and over the years we often exchanged books with each other that we found interesting. She could entertain herself for many hours just being absorbed in her books.

Growing up for us wasn’t always easy, but I was always glad to have her by my side. She made the good times twice as joyful and the tougher ones only half as trying. I always knew if I reached out my hand, hers would always be there to take mine.

Often, I catch myself laughing, remembering all the scrapes we got into, all the plots we hatched, all the hell we raised. I knew I could trust her with all my secrets and dreams.

I remember how once we had so much fun together going on a road trip to Santa Barbara, California. From our shared experiences I have a cornucopia full of wonderful memories and I treasure this time that we had together. The bond between us always grew stronger with time and deeper with the years. I valued her support and acceptance knowing that she was always on my side. I was joyous with her successes and empathetic with her frustrations. Even when times were rough for her, I caught that twinkle in her eye that always spoke of acceptance, resolution and hope.

There were events in our lives that took us in very different directions, and we may have drifted but we always came back to a special kinship. I’m glad that I had her in my life. She knew me better than even I knew myself and I’ve always felt that I could share things with her that I couldn’t share with anyone else. From doubling up with laughter over the silliest of things to our in-depth discussions deep into the night. I see myself in her and respect the differences we saw in ourselves. I know in my heart that she is at peace in the Lord. “I love you, Ate Babes and I know that we will meet again in heaven”.
