Angeline A. (Kunic) Lavrich, 96 of Canonsburg, passed away quietly on May 9, 2025, at Concordia of Bridgeville. She was born March 8, 1929, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Matthew and Katherine Kunic. Angeline was the loving wife of 63 years of the late Henry Lavrich. She was the last of her siblings: brother, Johnny, and sisters Helen, Ann and Mary. In 1947 she graduated as valedictorian of her class at Bellfield and Morse girls’ vocational high school. After graduating she worked at US Steel as a bookkeeper. She also was employed at Dolly Madison bakery in Houston. During her younger years she shared her vocal talent in the Slovenian singing group Preseren of Pittsburgh and enjoyed vacationing in various cities throughout the US. She was a big supporter of her husband’s band traveling alongside him to his many polka dances. She loved doing crafts, gardening, sewing, decorating, baking and having garage sales. Neighbors and shut-ins were recipients of the many baked goods which she and her husband loved distributing.
She is survived by her son Don Henry (Ellie Wilkes), daughter Kathy Yeakel (Curtis Treadaway), grandchildren Lexi Lavrich (Beau Bouchard), Bud Orr, and Winston Stanley, great grandchildren, Alyssa Stanley and Thomas Bouchard and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff of Bridges Hospice, especially Lynn Carrillo and Natalie Kraly for taking good loving care of her.
