Angeline (DeBlase) Schlett, 96, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 at The Willows at Bellevue surrounding by her family.
Angeline was born on February 28, 1929 in Bellevue, OH to the late Angelo and Josephine (Luzio) DeBlase.
Angeline worked at Hills and then Ames for 20 over years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and enjoyed camping, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.
Angeline is survived by her five children, Christine (Eric) Mashita of Valencia, CA, Gail Shatzer of Norwalk, OH, Donald (Tim Stewart) Schlett, Jr. of Sandusky, OH, Gerald (Cindy) Schlett of Milan, OH, and Jeffrey (Amy) Schlett of Bellevue, OH; ten grandchildren, Brett, Alison, Lesley, Andrea, Adam, Marcus, Chad, Sam, Megan, and Josh; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Joe DeBlase and Frank DeBlase, both of Bellevue, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Angeline is preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Schlett, Sr. in 2015; grandson, Matthew Schlett; great-grandson, Cohen; great-granddaughter, Halle; and three brothers, Charles DeBlase, Anthony DeBlase, Sam DeBlase.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky with Fr. Monte Hoyles presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
