Angeline "Angie" Segerstrom

Angeline Segerstrom passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 86. Angie, as she was known to family and friends, was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings; and husband.
She is survived by her daughter, Denice (Gary); son, Russell; and three grandchildren, Douglas (Courtney), Samantha, and Madison. And many nieces and nephews.
Angie was raised on a farm just outside of Crookston, MN. She was proud of her heritage and enjoyed trips back home. She loved gardening and is remembered fondly for her canned tomato juice that was used for many different hotdishes, her dilled pickles and pickled beets. As well, her home never lacked for outdoor flower beds and indoor plants.
Angie loved to knit, embroider and sew. She had a waffled patterned mitten that every one of her children and grandchildren wore at one time or another.
Angie's faith was important to her. She was actively involved with the church supporting such activities as the women's guild, Corn Fest, and funeral preparations. She never hesitated to offer help to her family, friends or neighbors.
Angie was a proud grandmother. She loved attending her grandkid's events, be it a concert, band concert, softball, baseball or volleyball, musicals or dance recitals. As it got more difficult to attend these programs, they were shared with her through recordings and pictures. She loved her grandkids and spending time with them. And whether it was a bribe, or for her own pleasure of watching their excited faces, she always had a bag of chocolate chip cookies in her freezer.
The family lost Angie twice. Once to dementia and now in her death. Angie will be remembered in the memories she leaves behind and will be deeply missed.
The family has requested a private celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated.
