He worked as a roofer for various contractors for most of his adult life. He loved sports especially the Dallas Cowboys.
Besides his parents he leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Nichole Cook Bennett. His children Marquis Jones, Angie Evans, Saquoiya Bennett and Mekhi Williams, His grandchildren Shyianne, Payton La-trelle, Savion and Nahla and His uncles Jesse(Helen) Wright and Jimmy Bennett and his Aunt Barbara Peterson.
