Buonopane, Angelo, of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully on his 67th birthday, February 1, 2025.
Devoted husband of Marie (Andrews) Buonopane.
Adored son of the late Michael and surviving wife Rita (Petrillo) Buonopane of East Boston.
Beloved father of Michael Angelo of Saugus, Christopher Henry of East Boston, Dana Andrew of East Boston, and Marisa Angela of Saugus.
Adored Papa of Alessandro.
Dear brother of David and the late Mena Biancardi of Peabody, Nancy Saunders and husband Brian of East Boston, and Rita Marie Giangregorio and husband Angelo of Revere.
Cherished son in law of the late Henry and Dolores Andrews.
Loving brother-in-law of Billy Andrews and his longtime partner Trish of Braintree, PJ Andrews of Los Angeles, California, and the late Donna Marie Clark and Patricia Kelly Andrews.
Also survived by his many loving aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Angelo was a former clerk for the United States Postal Service where he serviced his community for 39 years.
Family and friends will honor Angelo's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston, on Monday, February 10th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday morning at 8:30 before leaving in procession to Saint Joseph - Saint Lazarus Church, East Boston, for a funeral Mass celebrating his life at 10:00 A.M. Services will conclude with Angelo being laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
In lieu of flowers, because of Angelo's fight with Diabetes for many years, memorial donations may be made in Angelo's name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
