GUILDERLAND, NY – Angelo M. Gaudio, 82, of Guilderland, passed away on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital. Angelo was born April 1,1943 in Hudson, the son of the late Michele and Ida Marie Gaudio, and spent most of his life in the Albany area.
Angelo proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and was an active member of the American Legion until his passing. He was first employed by Schaefer Brewery and later served with the Albany Police Department before joining the staff of the State University at Albany, where he dedicated 25 years of service. Following his retirement, he continued to serve his community while working at the Albany County Courthouse for another ten years.
He was active in several community organizations throughout his life. Angelo was a former Commander of the Bucci-McTague Post 1530 and a past member of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society.
Angelo is survived by his beloved wife, Roberta A. (LePine) Gaudio; his daughter, Ida Marie LaChance of Voorheesville; his son, Angelo S. Gaudio of Latham; his sister-in-law, Donna Gaudio of Slingerlands; his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily LaChance; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Patsy Gaudio and Michael Gaudio.
Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Entombment will be held privately in Evergreen Cemetery, Colonie.
