Obituary of Angelo Dominick Lazaro, Jr.

Angelo Dominick Lazaro Jr, 58, of Freehold passed away on Sunday January 18, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Newark and was raised in Union before settling in Freehold in 2021. He worked as a cook at Eagle Oaks Country Club and previously served as an Auxiliary Police Officer in Union, and was known for his dedication to his family, especially his children and grandson. Angelo grew up in Union and was beloved by all who knew him. He had a knack for making everyone feel welcome and was always ready with a smile and a kind word. One of his favorite pastimes was making pizza, a skill that brought joy to those around him.

Angelo is predeceased by his mother, Claire Lazaro and his brother, Dana Lazaro. He is survived by his two children, Kaitlyn Avezzano and her wife, Jennifer of Barnegat and Vincent Lazaro of Clark; grandson, Harrison; father, Angelo Lazaro, Sr.; brother, Anthony Lazaro; nephew, Dominick and his wife, Angela; two nieces, Samantha and her husband, Michael and Ella; and great nieces and nephews, Liam, Mila and Gracie.
