Angelo Sanchez, 72, of Beaumont, died Monday, December 1, 2025. He was born on May 12, 1953, in New York, New York to Carmen Maria Pagan and Angelo Sanchez, Sr.
Angelo was a sweet, gentle, unpretentious man, evident in his love of animals and art. Every stray dog and cat found his house. He kept them fed and warm and healthy. He even administered CPR to a hamster.
Angelo received a degree in law enforcement from Lamar University. His experience with the military and law enforcement fed his respect for firearms, an interest that he shared with several family members.
He had a passion for martial arts and received his black belt in Aikido.
Angelo found his center in his artwork. During his final days, he experienced peace and joy in drawing and studying art books and videos to improve his talent.
He was a TV and movie fanatic. Sci-fi, Japanese Anime, and thrillers gave him hours of pleasure.
Some are blessed with a calming energy, and Angelo was one of those people. He did not raise his voice; he did not lose his temper. In the midst of chaos and confusion, he remained grounded. Even in sickness, he fought with quiet resolve.
Angelo was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
