Angelyn Rebecca Davenport

Angelyn Burns Davenport, 80, of Pisgah Forest, NC, went to be with our lord and savior Jesus Christ March 6, 2026.

Angelyn was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Davenport and her parents Dewey and Corine.

Born on May 21, 1945 in Brevard, NC, Angelyn was a beloved daughter of Dewey and Corine Burns. She grew up in Pisgah Forest and graduated from Brevard High School. She worked for J. Crew clothing corporation and retired as a receptionist with Christopher's salon. She never knew a stranger and loved little babies! She loved being outdoors, mowing the lawn, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Her most favorite place was the beach!
Angelyn was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Davenport and her parents Dewey and Corine.

Angelyn is survived by her children Diana and Chris Davenport, brothers, Charles Stepp and Bud Burns and sister Ina Mae Kizziah, many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren, many other extended family members and loving friends.


Graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory, formerly Pisgah Gardens, March 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to Saint Jude's, her favorite charity!
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered! Also remembered is God's promise to us all that we will be reunited in Heaven and we will see her again!
