Angie Ervin Obituary

Visit the Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar website to view the full obituary.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angie Crouse Ervin, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, fiancée, and friend, who left this world on November 2, 2025, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. Born on January 8, 1971, in McNairy County, Tennessee, Angie lived a life filled with love, determination, and warmth.
Angie was known to many as a fierce protector of her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. She was the devoted fiancée and soulmate of George Ervin, Jr. of Bolivar, who stood by her side through life's joys and challenges. Together, they shared a bond that was evident to everyone fortunate enough to witness their love.
As a mother, she nurtured her daughters, Amanda Tillmon of Bolivar, Heather Crotwell and her husband Justin of Bolivar, and Rachel Jean Lambert and her husband Joseph of Silerton, with unwavering devotion. Her son, Brandon "Bubba" Tillmon of Walnut, MS, carried the strength and love she instilled in him throughout his life. Angie was also a proud grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren: J.T. Roberts "Booboo," Jase Davidson, Abby "Kat" Crotwell, McKinnley Rudy Crotwell, Liam Jayden "Bubs" Crotwell, and Easton Lane Tillmon, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life. Additionally, she leaves her father and stepmother, John Crouse, Sr. and Frances of Hornsby and a brother, John Crouse, Jr. (Janice) of Selmer.
Angie's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family. She had countless friends, all of whom she valued deeply. Her vibrant personality lit up every room, and her ability to connect with others made her a cherished companion to many. Her hobbies included sewing and crafting blankets that were not only creations of warmth but also labors of love. She took great pleasure in cooking, bringing families together at the table to enjoy the fruits of her labor.
A homebody at heart, Angie occasionally ventured outside her home to undertake various odd jobs, embodying the essence of a hardworking homemaker. She found solace in her faith as a devoted Baptist, grounding her spirit through her relationship with God. Angie lived each day to the fullest, facing life with courage and grace, even in the difficult times.
Tragically, her mother, Carolyn Bethel Crouse, had predeceased her, as did her grandson, Colton McClure. These losses, though heavy, were borne with dignity and love as Angie continually celebrated their memories through the family she built.
Her legacy will continue to shine brightly through her fiancée George, her children Amanda, Heather, Rachel, and Brandon, and her grandchildren, who will remember her laughter, her strength, and her unwavering love. Angie was, indeed, a rare light in our lives, and her absence will be profoundly felt.
Visitation will be held at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Bolivar on November 6, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, and again on November 7, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating her life will follow on November 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM, culminating in an interment at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Bethel Springs.
As we gather to celebrate the extraordinary life of Angie Crouse Ervin, let us hold the memories of her unwavering love, her beautiful spirit, and the joy she brought into our lives close to our hearts. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (give.bcrf.org/campaign) or the Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes (Formerly JDRF) (rarediseases.org/organizations/juvenile-diabetes-research-foundation-international).
