Angie Melaine Wainright Williams passed away peacefully Thursday morning , April 18, 2024, at her home in Statesboro. Born in Nahunta, GA, her parents were James L. “Jim” and Florence E. Wainright. Angie was a devoted believer and follower of Jesus Christ and a member of First Baptist Church of Statesboro. She was a loving wife to her husband Ted and mother to her two children, Ross and Rachel. Angie was a graduate of Georgia Southern (BBA - MIS 1988) and worked as an IT Business Analyst until retiring from the Bulloch County School System. She was an auxiliary member of the Gideons International Bulloch County Camp. She enjoyed Bible teaching, gardening, reading, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. 


Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Ted Williams, son, Ross Williams, daughter, Rachel Williams and fiance Taylor Callahan, brother, Rev. James Wainright and his wife, Mona Jean Wainright, sister, Gail Turner and many nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Deal Funeral Directors.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Statesboro First Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Wainright, Rev. Ricky Allen, and Pastor Joann Harris officiating.

Committal service and burial will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 3:30 PM at Bethlehem Cemetery, 556 Bethlehem Road, Nahunta, GA 31553. 

Pallbearers will be Jeff Akins, Clark Bowers, Bob Cook, Curt Deal, Landon Lanier, Allen Muldrew, Greg Ponder, and Will Sanford

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Choices of the Heart,425 E. Grady Street, Statesboro, GA 30458 or Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607
