Angus Jacobs Obituary
Angus was born on March 1, 1961 in Malone the son of the late Harry and Irene (Thompson) Jacobs and graduated from Salmon River Central School. He married Valerie Therrien and was blessed with 2 children before their marriage ended. Despite their divorce they remained good friends until her death on January 2, 2026.
Angus was a lifelong ironworker and also worked for 13 years as police officer with Akwesasne Mohawk Police Services. He enjoyed spearfishing, picking leeks, gardening, and was a jack-of-all trades who could fix anything. Angus also enjoyed spending time in the mountains, where he would pick various traditional medicines.
Angus is survived by his children, Tyler Jacobs and Annie Jacobs (Florencio Verdugo); his grandchild, Raegen Jacobs; his sisters, Elizabeth Jacobs (Ted McDonald) and Rosemarie Jacobs (Steve Jacobs); and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Harry Jacobs and Irene McDonald; his was predeceased by his stepfather, Wayne McDonald; his sister, Yvonne Miller; and his brothers, Louis, Harold, and Russell Jacobs.
Friends may call at his home, 1473 State Highway 37 on Saturday, March 21st from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
