Anibal Castro Sr.

Anibal Castro, Sr., 77, of Clifton passed away on January 6, 2026. Born in Puerto Rico, he traveled to the US in 1964 and lived in Paterson before settling in Clifton. Anibal worked as an assembler for Standards Fiber in Paterson, and Carlee Corp, in Rockleigh, for a total of 45 years before retiring 15 years ago. A die-hard NY Yankees fan, he loved gardening, playing dominos and spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of the late Ana Delia Castro. Devoted father of Aida Castro, Anibal Castro, Jr. and his wife Nancy and the late Sonia Castro. Loving grandfather of Jonathan Otero, Damian Garzon, Justin Castro, Dennis Morales, Jr., and the late Kiara T. Argueyes. Cherished great-grandfather of Jaelee, Kaylee, Damian, Jr., and Camila Castro. Dear brother of Angel Luis, Carmen, Ester, Miguel Angel, Nilda, Ismael, Alfredo, Francisco and Juan Martin Castro.

Visiting Sunday, Jan. 11, from 2 – 6 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Monday, Jan. 12, 10 AM at the Funeral Home. Entombment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
