Aniello "Andy" Iacono
Naugatuck, CT, Aniello "Andy" Iacono, 93, husband of Renata (Iossa) Iacono, died peacefully on May 30, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Andy was born May 18, 1932, in Isle de Ponza, Italy, a son of the late Silverio and Candida Iacono and has lived in Naugatuck since 1974. Andy was a restaurant owner for many years, having owned and operated multiple restaurants, including Gigi's La Trattoria in Naugatuck.
In addition to Renata, his loving wife of 65 years, Andy is survived by his children, Silverio "Sal" Iacono (Lisa); Luigi Iacono and Candida Hutchinson (Gerald); his grandchildren, Andrew Hutchinson (Brooke), Randy Hutchinson and Jenna Iacono; his great-grandchildren, Kara and Natalie Hutchinson; his nieces and nephews and many loving family members in Italy. Andy was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Iacono and his sister, Franca Migliaccio.
Services will be held privately and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Andy's memory, donations are requested to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
