HIGHGATE - Anissa A. Christopher, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born in Burlington on May 7, 1971 to Janet (Bundy) Houghton and the late Peter Audette.
Anissa was a proud graduate of South Burlington High School and devoted many years of her career to serving as a parts manager at Boucher Equipment and later at Harvest Equipment. Anissa started her career in 1992 and continued in the role for over 25 years, she was one of the best parts managers in New England. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her love for the outdoors. A true Vermonter, Anissa cherished ice fishing, snowmobiling, and spent countless hours tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Few things brought her more joy than relaxing by the fire while listening to her favorite tunes on Saturday Night Country Gold, and going for rides around the area.
Anissa was a vibrant part of her community, always eager to lend a hand during Vermont's Green Up Day, exemplifying her commitment to keeping our surroundings beautiful. Her infectious laugh and delightful spirit brightened the lives of everyone she met.
She is survived by her two sons, Austin Christopher and his significant other Alexis Jones, and Landon Christopher and his significant other Ashlyn Duprey; her mother, Janet Houghton and her husband Robert; siblings, Amanda Fletcher and her husband Lee, Amos Audette and his wife Carey, Allison Benoit and her husband Brian, and Andrea Lavalette and her husband Allen; nieces & nephews, Sarah Cunningham and her husband Noah, Ethan Fletcher, Michael Holmes and his significant other Elizabeth Dufresne, Myranda Benoit and her fiancé Todd Smith, Michelle Gleason and her husband Steven, Chelsea Audette, Katie Aube, and Ashley Aube; great nieces & nephews, Paisely Audette, Liam Holmes, Mack Gleason, Peightyn Gleason, and Emersyn Cunningham; and many close friends. Anissa was predeceased by her father, Peter Audette; the father of her children, Eric Christopher; and her partner, Roger Wright.
Friends & family are invited to Anissa's life celebration to include a graveside memorial service on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Greenwoods Cemetery, Henry Road, Alburgh, VT.
