Anita Georgianna Amrine, age 88, of McEwen, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. Anita was born on June 28, 1936, in Chicago, IL, to the late, James Karban and Anna Suda Karban. She worked as a Patient Accounts Clerk for Valley Medical Center in Renton, WA until she retired. Anita was a woman of many talents and kept busy with many organizations, volunteer work and other various activities. She was a member of Crossroads Calvary Church in Bon Aqua, TN, and enjoyed fellowship with others who attended church with her. She was known for her love of travel and enjoyed seeing new places and things. Anita had a fondness for all fur babies and volunteered her time at the humane society as an act of love. She also loved to ride horses and enjoyed cooking. She was a Girl Scout Leader in Chicago, a Welcome Wagon Leader in Oklahoma, a Hospice Caregiver and served with Meals on Wheels in Washingon. Anita was a member of Wagon Wheels Squares, Music City Campers Squares, The Three Rivers Dulcimer Association, the American Red Cross where she volunteered, and a Girl Scout Leading in her community. Anita was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and loved and cherished her visits with her children and grandchildren. She was married to the love of her life, her husband Lowell Amrine for 35 years. Anita will be truly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 35 years, Lowell Amrine of McEwen, TN; son, John Cuprisin (Josephine) of New Caney, TX; daughters, Debra Ann Haynes (Mark) of Amity, OR, Cindy M. Sattler (Jeff) of Chelan, WA, and Kathryn Handy (Paul) of Burlington, VT; step children, Frank Amrine (Rhonda) of Sprague, WA and Angel A. Amrine of Deer Park, WA; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and sister, Kathleen Pleshaw of Bradenton, FL.
Along with her parents, Anita is preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Dvorak and Charlotte Pigula.
In keeping with Mrs. Anita's wishes there will be no public services scheduled.
Arrangements are entrusted to Luff-Bowen Funeral Home.
