Anita Louise Bradley Avers, born on November 5, 1944, and passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025. Anita was born in Duluth Minnesota and graduated High School at Waterloo Iowa. Anita loved Minneapolis and lived there for over 30 years. She married Brad Mock and had four children. Her life was transformed in early adulthood when she became a Christian. From that time she searched the Scriptures and was guided by the Holy Spirit. While in Minneapolis she formed lifetime friendships with Pam and Dave Peterman, Diane Dawson, Mary Heath, Barbara DeMaster and Janelle Gagne. Anita moved to Wichita in 1998 and completed her Master’s Degree at Friends University. Anita married Barry Avers in 2002. Anita had many artistic and creative skills, and especially liked to knit and cook. She had a passion for counseling and believed that was her special gift she could give to others.
Anita is survived by her husband, Barry Avers; sisters, Mary Marinkovich, and Therese Carlon; sons, Eric Mock and Paul Mock; daughter, Angelynn Mock; stepdaughter, Sonja Kreutziger; stepson, Russell Kreutziger; step-granddaughter, Brenna Kreutziger; step-grandson, Chandler Kreutziger; grandson, Tomio Mock; granddaughters, Gabriel Mock and Sydney VanFrost.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Clearwater Community Church, located at 450 N 4th St, Clearwater, Kansas, 67026. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life.
