Anita Blair

Funeral services for Anita Joyce Blair will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia, Louisiana at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Stephen Beard will officiate. Interment will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Arcadia. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
Anita was born July 19, 1952, in Bakersfield, CA., and passed away September 3, 2022, in Arcadia, LA. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent her life taking care of others. She was the neighborhood mom to so many that she welcomed with opened arms. While working as a CNA, she took on patients as family, often including them in holiday festivities with family. She had a heart of gold. She was patient, genuine, giving, forgiving and selfless.
She is preceded by her parents, Leroy Brackett and Maxine Wren Brackett. Anita is survived by her husband, Lonnie Blair; daughter, Angelia Smith and husband David along with their children, Ashley Smith and Zach Smith, and daughter, Terri Weir and husband Cole; step grandchild, Michael Weir; siblings, Charles Brackett, Georgia Richards, Carol Hall, Jackie Brackett and Jimmie Brackett, along with many nieces, nephews, in-laws and other loving family and friends.
Pallbearers will be, Jake Williams, Kenny McCready, Tim Duchaney, Joe Hood, Scotty Powell and Kenny Barnett.
