I have known you a lifetime it seems and now I´m saying goodbye...At least goodbye for now. We will no longer be able to see you except in past memories or hear your voice except in our thoughts. I can just hear right now.....the conversations we will play.. constantly.....inside our heads. The tears that will surely fall publicly like today..... and privately.... like tomorrow and the day after. We all know this journey in life is accompanied by a beginning and an ending. Yet, it´s always the ending that catches us by surprise. Anita you made peace with the fact the ending of your story was coming sooner rather than later. To this end, you decided to go home and be surrounded by those who loved you. See the people you haven´t seen in a while and remind those with sad faces...everything is going to be fine. You were surrounded by those lives you´ve touched. Saying you will be missed and loved is not saying enough. Saying this world is now empty because you have left us is not saying enough. Saying your footprints are not stamped deep into the heart of your three sons and grandchildren is not saying enough. Being able to replay the pleasant memories we had, the tears we cried and the joys we´ve shared is a treasure no one can steal. I´m glad you´re no longer in pain. I´m glad you´ve found peace. Now, all of us will need time... lots of time....to find peace knowing you´re gone.

I met Anita when she was 12 and I was 13 years old and the rest is history! I'm missing you Gaye you were my best of the best friend. We had a lot of laughs in the 50 years that we shared together! I'll never be the same. I remember asking you what am I going to do without you when you told me you were leaving and I couldn't go with you at least not this time. You said that I have to keep on living and not to be sad for too long because life moves on and she wanted me to remember the good times so I will honor her wishes though it won't be easy. My condolences to her family I love you all and I know we're gonna miss Anita but she's free now and one day we'll see her again my best of the best "Gaye" my friend
