Anita Hale was born on November 26, 1936 in McCamey, Texas to John S. Tinney and Lilly Dunavant Tinney. She attended school there and graduated from McCamey High School in 1955. On November 1, 1957 she married Billy Hale.

Anita worked for a doctor’s office while in Texas, the Fairview Fellowship Home as well as the Aline Cleo Elementary Library which she helped start. Her hobbies included being a Boy Scout Leader, Blue Birds Leader, Watermelon Festival Committee and Kids for Christ. She was active with church and the activities going on at the school. Anita loved reading and word search puzzles as well as playing mahjong and solitaire. She also loved attending Alexus, Bentlee and Madoux’s school events and ball games.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lilly Tinney; her husband, Billy Hale; daughters, Linda Joyce and Donna Jo; siblings, Leon Tinney, Evelyn Johnson, Cecil Tinney and Billy Ray Tinney.

She is survived by daughters, Krysta Hale of Amarillo, Texas and Brande Naugle and fiancé, Mitchell Waugh, of Cleo Springs; grandchildren, Amanda Hale (Dakota), Michael Hale (Jennifer), Alexus Naugle, Shelby Waugh, Dylan Waugh, Kaeleigh Creed, Bentlee Naugle, Garytt Creed, Brailey Waugh and Madoux Naugle; great grandchildren, Jamie and Maiwen; special friends, Jim and Barbara Hamen and family, Jerry and Teresa Driskill and family and Justin and Krystal Boyce and family.

She was a very caring person who loved the Lord and would do anything she could for anyone.

Memorial service will be Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Baptist Church in Cleo Springs. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanfuneralhome.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
