MORVEN - Anita Maria Johnson Hunter was born August 16, 1964 on George Air Force Base in Victorville, CA and she was a daughter of Hattie Katherine Robinson Johnson and the late Robert Lee Johnson. She was called from labor to rest on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at her home in Morven, NC.
She was a 1983 graduate of Bowman Senior High School, and she worked as an EMTI with Anson County EMS for 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, John Henry Hunter.
Anita loved her family dearly and she enjoyed spending time with them and her friends. She enjoyed shopping, watching Tik Tok videos, laughing and having a good time.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her children, La’Tonya (Johnny) Byrd, Iris Hunter and La’Morris Hunter; her grandchildren, Arianna Delts, Shaquan Byrd, Johnathon Byrd and Zachariah Byrd; her mother, Hattie Johnson; her sister, Rhonda (Larry) Liles; her brother, Chavis McQueen; special friends, Evangelist Brenda Pratt, Ruthie Dukes, Thomas Toms and Prophetess Affira Graham and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, January 27, 2025 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.
Public viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Monday and the family is gathering at the home in Morven.
