Anita Sharon (Morgan) Lewis, age 86, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at her home. She was born in Marshall on November 22, 1939 to the late Robert L. and Eva W. (Davis) Morgan.
Anita was a 1957 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and continued her education at Purdue University and Indiana State University. On May 29, 1969, she married Freddie Dean Lewis, who preceded her in death on August 31, 2012.
Anita was well known in the community for her talent as a baker and caterer. She was referred to by many as "the cake lady." She also dedicated many years as a custodian at New Market Elementary School. Anita was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as President of the Relief Society.
Above all, Anita cherished time spent with her family. She also enjoyed reading cookbooks, baking and hosting family get togethers, attending the yearly reunions and her monthly meeting with her high school best friends which she continued until this year! Her volunteer work at the church was another big passion, along with collecting and learning about her family's genealogy. Her infectious laugh and sweet personality will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Anita is survived by her children, Sherrie Lyon and Dawn Victoria Lewis; brother, Stan (Angie) Morgan; 9 grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Freddie; son, Brian Lewis; and grandson, Matt Perry.
Visitation will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1086 N County Road 125 W, Crawfordsville, Indiana on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 12:00 pm until the time of funeral service at 2:00pm.
