She was born March 8, 1936 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Dix) Cooper. She married Howard Light August 12, 1955. He preceded her in death December 22, 1981.
Sue is survived by three children: Gary (Mary) Light of Lenexa, KS, Tim (Jan) Light of St. Charles, MO and Susan (Michael) McIntyre of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren Tyler Light, Matthew McIntyre, Brendan Light, Sean (Brittany) McIntyre, Ellie (Harrison) Light-Smith and Connor Light; and three great-grandchildren; Cameron McIntyre, Rylee McIntyre and Baker Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 7, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 1485 Craig Road, St. Louis, MO 63146. In lieu of flowers please consider giving to Stray Rescue of St. Louis or Convoy of Hope - Women of Empowerment.
