In Loving Memory of Anita Manous Anita Manous, age 57, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2025. Born on August 7, 1967, to the late Huey Padgett and Mary Sullens Padgett, Anita lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and love. A woman with a wanderer's heart and a warm smile, Anita found joy in traveling with her beloved husband, Scott, always seeking out new places and memorable experiences together. She had a deep appreciation for music-especially the sounds of the Allman Brothers and classic Southern rock-and loved the thrill of swimming, cheering for Chase Elliott in NASCAR, and indulging in a little online shopping on Amazon. More than anything, Anita treasured her family. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Scott Manous; her son, Elijah Gurley; her step-son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Bethany Manous; her step-daughter, Brittany Manous; and her cherished grandchildren Kinlee Manous, Jaxon Grizzle, and McKenna Crosby. She also leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Travis and Holly Padgett, along with a host of extended family and dear friends who will carry her memory with love and pride. Visitation will be held Monday, July 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Cagle Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Whitestone Baptist Church in Talking Rock, Georgia, officiated by Rev. Daniel Reece. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Blake Manous, Steve Collins, Robert Kime, Zach Chastain, David Goss, and Nicky Pruitt. Cagle Funeral Home and Cremation Services, along with Sunrise Memorial Gardens, is privileged to care for the Manous family during this time of remembrance.
